infants, and children under 5 years old.

Pregnancy Aid has WIC offices in

Arlington, Granite Falls, Marysville, Monroe,

Silver Lake in SE Everett, & Snohomish.

Nutrition Counseling is included with most WIC visits. WIC families learn about

  • Cooking skills

  • Recipe ideas

  • Prenatal nutrition

  • Infant feeding & introduction to solids

  • Toddler nutrition & portion sizes

  • Family meals

  • Physical activity

Breastfeeding Support

The WIC Program promotes breastfeeding as the first and best choice for infant feeding.​

Our support includes

  • Breastfeeding Peer Counselors, available outside office hours

  • Referral to lactation consultant

  • Breast pumps as needed

 

WIC does not routinely provide formula to breastfed babies in the first month of life.

The WIC Program provides foods that contain nutrients that are especially important for women when they are pregnant or nursing a baby, and for young children when they are growing so fast.  These include high quality protein, iron, calcium, vitamins A & C, along with fiber.

YOUR APPOINTMENT

Tips for your appointment

If you are attending your appointment in person, please arrive a little early to get checked in.

If your appointment is by phone, please expect and look for our call at the day and time of your appointment; call us back right away if you miss the call. We have many phone lines and some staff are working remotely from home or another office.  If your phone has the feature that silences numbers it doesn’t recognize, you might miss us! 

 

Please bring or have the following ready

  • Income information for all members of your household.  This can include pay statements, ProviderOne card, and TANF, SNAP, or FDPIR information.  Using this form can help: WIC Income Tool

  • Proof if ID for each applicant/participant

  • Proof of Washington State residency for family

  • The most recent height and weight measurements and hemoglobin count from your doctor or on-line medical chart if your appointment is by phone

 

You will need to agree to the WIC Program rights and responsibilities.  You can find them here: WIC Rights & Responsibilities

Your appointment will be with a trained nutrition educator or Registered Dietitian.  Please bring your nutrition questions!  We can provide answers, resources, and referrals to other services.

You will receive your WIC food benefits the same day as your appointment.  If you are new or have lost your card, you can choose to have your WIC card mailed to you or you can pick it up at the WIC office.
